Your privacy and trust are important to us

Chrome Pilot operates on a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) model. This means we, the creators of Chrome Pilot, do not collect, store, or process any of your personal data, browsing history, or API keys on our servers. Your data is processed directly between your browser and your chosen Large Language Model (LLM) provider (e.g., Google Gemini).
You must provide your own API key from an LLM provider. This key is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage and is never sent to our servers. It is used only to authenticate your requests directly with the LLM provider.
To understand your commands, the extension captures a screenshot of the active webpage. This image is sent directly to your LLM provider's API to determine the appropriate action. This data is not seen or stored by us.
Your typed or spoken commands are sent to your LLM provider to be interpreted. Voice data is processed for transcription and is not stored by the extension.
Since we do not collect your data, we do not share it with any third parties. The security of your data (screenshots, commands) is subject to the privacy policy and security practices of your chosen LLM provider. You are responsible for reviewing and understanding their policies.
You have full control over your data. You can clear your API key from the extension's settings at any time or uninstall the extension to remove all locally stored data.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our extension. We will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date on this page.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at contact@chromepilot.org.
